We will present short lectures on how global climate change is creating tree dieoffs around the world, altering local scale forest atmosphere interactions, and then impacting connections between disparate regions such as North and South America by altering atmospheric circulation patterns. We will then open up for a discussion of how the Amazon might be influenced by or impact these processes.

Apresentaremos palestras cortas sobre como as mudanças globais estão causando mortalidade massiva de arvores no mundo, alterando as interações entre as florestas e atmosfera a escalas locais e impactando as conexões entre regiões dispares como Sul- e Norteamerica ao alterar os padrões de circulação atmosférica. Logo abriremos a discussão sobre como a Amazônia pode ser influenciada ou impactar estes processos.
